#amwriting #amediting Lost both disks today & a week’s work

One disk had a problem and the machine was a donation from my brother-in-law some years ago. He liked high spec’d machines.

After 12 years the disks decided to go together.

I have been backing up on Microsoft software but like most things with Microsoft you might as well blow bubbles if you have to quickly change to different machines, running different versions of the operating system and they don’t rely on you and not Microsoft software pulling files back. I backed up to a DVD but a week ago.

I use external hard-disks and thought I was safe but trying to pull files would need some idiot on NCIS. If your stuff is important buy two external hard disks because Microsoft will take over the first as a backup device and then you are fighting the operating again for the manic glory of Microsoft idiots locked away in their Glory Hole where reality is an option and others pay for their mistakes.

Lost a week’s work but that I will consider a week on planning, thinking and pre-writing so don’t expect anything you’ve read here to have any relevance, if it ever did.
